Hosting a Rikshaw Design trunk show for the third year in a row was a no brainer for Way Way. You cannot beat the comfort, colors, prints and lightweight material. Rikshaw’s clothing is ideal in our hot and humid climate here in Charleston!
A little over a week ago, bohemian loving fashionista’s gathered at Way Way’s house to view the new collection with Brook of Little Fish. Brook is another one of Charleston’s many creative minds who started her online website, Little Fish, in 2012 where she sells goodies such as handmade or vintage clothing and accessories for the littles in your life!
(you must check out her website if you haven’t already-just saying!!!!)
One of the best features of Rikshaw, aside from the stunning prints, is that they have everything from a camp shirt for you, to a romper for your little one, and a cozy blanket to wrap both of you up! They have really outdone themselves with their spring/summer 2013 collection, full of new prints and color pallets! It is difficult to find something that you don’t love!
This chevron print is a personal favorite!
The creator of Rikshaw Design, Catherine Fitzsommons, who is based out of California, was inspired by a trip to India in which she experienced the beauty of India and all that it’s culture has to offer. She instantaneously fell in love with the imperfections and artistry of Indian printing blocking, and so Rikshaw Design was born. All pieces including hand blockprinted fabrics, clothing and bedding continue to be printed in India.
If you are as excited about the Rikshaw Design spring/summer 2013 collection as we are, you are in luck- Sugar Snap Pea will be carrying Rikshaw at their Mount Pleasant location soon!
